Chicken Burgers!

I bought some ground chicken awhile back and its been sitting in my freezer.  I've been debating what I should do with it.  I LOVE a good burger.  Salt Lake Burger Company?  I'm a regular.  Their garlic burger with blue cheese and applewood smoked bacon is a for sure hit in my world.  But beef burgers can be so unhealthy.  In my mind, I imagined switching to buffalo, because it is much higher in protein and a more lean meat.  However, buffalo is also incredibly expensive in comparison.  So I went with chicken.  I have to say- the burgers I grilled up last night were amazing haha  Here's the recipe:

Chicken Burgers by Maims
Ingredients:
1 pound ground chicken
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbs dried, minced onion
4 drops liquid smoke
1 1/2 tbs Worchestershire Sauce

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine chicken and minced garlic.  Make sure you mix it in well because you don't want it stuck in one location so one burger is heavy duty garlic and the others are weak.
Add onion, liquid smoke and Worchestershire Sauce.  Mix well.  I used my hands to mix it all together.  It was just easier.  Press into patties.  Make sure they are kind of well pressed.  I noticed chicken tends to want to fall apart, so press those patties together well.  Makes four patties.

I grilled them up and then served them will all the regular hamburger fixings like lettuce, cheese and tomato.  I am wondering, though, if Swiss cheese would taste best... hmm.  Maybe I'll do that next time.

Enjoy!
